Role Summary
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Project Engineer – Electrical to support the execution, coordination, and delivery of electrical construction and substation projects within the Oil & Gas sector in the GCC.
The ideal candidate must have hands-on project engineering experience in electrical construction, preferably involving substations, Oil & Gas facilities, EPC projects, site coordination, documentation, QA/QC support, and client interaction. Prior ADNOC experience and a valid UAE driving license will be considered added advantages.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, execution, monitoring, and coordination of electrical project activities at site.
- Coordinate with Project Manager, Construction Manager, engineering team, QA/QC, HSE, procurement, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives.
- Supervise electrical construction works related to substations, cabling, equipment installation, earthing, lighting, power systems, panels, and other project requirements.
- Ensure site works are carried out as per approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, ITPs, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
- Review technical drawings, BOQs, material submittals, work procedures, and project documentation.
- Monitor daily site progress and prepare progress reports, manpower reports, material status reports, and work completion updates.
- Assist in preparing project schedules, look-ahead plans, work permits, inspection requests, and site execution plans.
- Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspections, approvals, punch list clearance, and documentation.
- Support testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities as required.
- Identify site issues, technical constraints, material shortages, and execution delays, and escalate them for timely resolution.
- Ensure proper coordination between civil, mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical teams at site.
- Attend client, consultant, subcontractor, and internal coordination meetings.
- Maintain accurate project records, site documentation, approvals, drawings, and correspondence.
- Ensure all site activities comply with Oil & Gas safety standards and client-specific requirements.
Required Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
- Minimum 5 years of GCC experience in Oil & Gas electrical construction projects.
- Must have worked as a Project Engineer – Electrical or in a similar electrical project engineering role.
- Strong experience in substation construction and electrical site execution is required.
- Experience in Oil & Gas project environments is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of electrical drawings, specifications, BOQs, method statements, ITPs, QA/QC procedures, and site execution requirements.
- Familiarity with testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities will be preferred.
- ADNOC project experience will be an added advantage.
- Valid UAE Driving License will be an added advantage.
- Must be ready to join immediately after client interview and approval, within a maximum of 20 days.
Required Skills

- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, SLDs, cable schedules, and technical documents.

Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be an Electrical Engineer with proven GCC Oil & Gas experience, hands-on substation construction exposure, and strong site coordination capabilities.
