Role Overview - Full Stack Developer (Java)
You will design, build, and operate enterprise web applications end to end: back end (Java/Spring Boot, microservices) and front end (React or Angular). You will work in cross-functional pods, collaborate with architects and product owners, and deliver secure, scalable software in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Java (11+) and Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs.

• Build responsive front ends using React or Angular with TypeScript.

• Implement database schemas and queries (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and integrate NoSQL where appropriate (MongoDB/Redis).

• Integrate messaging/streaming (Kafka/RabbitMQ) and external/third-party APIs.

• Apply security best practices (OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, Spring Security) and data protection.

• Set up CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI) and automate testing and deployments.

• Containerize services with Docker and orchestrate on Kubernetes (AKS or EKS) or cloud app services.

• Implement observability (logging, metrics, tracing) using ELK/EFK, Prometheus/Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.

• Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, unit/integration/e2e testing (JUnit/Mockito, Jest/Cypress), and documentation.

• Work closely with POD Leads, architects, QA, and DevOps to resolve technical challenges and deliver on time.

• Contribute to support, reliability, and continuous improvement after go-live.

Required Skills and Experience

• 7+ years of full-stack development with strong Java back-end expertise.

• Hands-on with:

  • Java 11+, Spring Boot, Spring Data/JPA, Spring Security

  • React or Angular, TypeScript, HTML5/CSS3

  • REST APIs, JSON, API versioning and documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI)

  • RDBMS (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis)

  • Messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ)

  • CI/CD (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions/GitLab), Git, branch strategies

  • Docker, Kubernetes (AKS/EKS) or cloud PaaS equivalents

  • Testing: JUnit/Mockito, Postman, Jest/Cypress; quality gates (SonarQube)

  • Security: OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, OWASP Top 10

• Solid grasp of clean architecture, design patterns, and microservices best practices.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum; excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• GraphQL, gRPC; API Gateways (Kong/Apigee/NGINX).

• Cloud: Azure (App Service, AKS, Key Vault), AWS (ECS/EKS, API Gateway).

• IaC: Terraform or ARM/Bicep.

• Node.js for tooling or middle tier; Python for automation/scripts.

• Caching (Redis), CDN, micro-frontends, SSR/Next.js (if React).

• Experience in regulated or high-scale environments.

Operational Expectations

• Produce high-quality, secure, and maintainable code under tight timelines.

• Collaborate in client-facing settings and provide clear status and risk updates.

• Immediate availability preferred; on-site in Abu Dhabi.
